Gatta Group receives more than $1.3M to renovate downtown Youngstown building

YOUNGSTOWN — The Ohio Development Services Agency awarded the Gatta Group, a property development company, $1.325 million to renovate the Gallagher Building, 23 N Hazel St., in downtown. The total cost for the renovation is $5.904 million.

The upper floors of the building we’ll be renovated into 18 apartment units with the first floor reopened as a restaurant and brew pub.

“It’s been a long time coming for this,” said Dominic L. Gatta III, owner and president of the Gatta Group.
