Trumbull County workers OK 3-year pact with raises
WARREN — Members of one of the bargaining units representing county workers have approved a three-year contract that pays them about 30 cents per hour more each year.
The Trumbull County Commissioners are expected to approve the contract at their next meeting Dec. 29.
The raises, which begin Jan. 1, will be the first pay raises most county employees have gotten in six years, other than step increases.
The bargaining unit that approved the contract Tuesday include about 130 workers in departments such as maintenance, clerk of courts and treasurer's office.
Negotiations are continuing with several other bargaining units.
