‘Fat N’ Furious’ stars at mall

The stars of the Discovery Channel’s “Fat N’ Furious: Rolling Thunder” will visit Eastwood Mall on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Tommy Christmas, Chuck Kountz, Steve McGranahan and Andy Pivarnik will meet fans in the mall’s Center Court. For a donation of $3 to Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, visitors will get a free picture with the cast members and a snack.
“Fat N’ Furious,” which premiered in June, follows the crew at Christmas Automotive in Boardman and Fowler, as they take dilapidated muscle cars and get them ready to drag race. Shooting has begun on a second season of the show, which will begin in February.
Boardman Park light display open
BOARDMAN
Boardman Park’s annual free holiday light display is open every evening from 5 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 5. Visitors can hear Christmas songs synchronized to the light displays at 88.9 FM as they drive through the park.
New this year is a military tribute featuring the songs “Santa’s Silent Night” and “I’ll be Home for Christmas,” along with several new displays.
A synchronized display, which consists of a huge 25-foot lighted tree, an American flag, four singing Christmas trees and many more, is at Maag Outdoor Theatre. Guests are asked to park in the Maag parking lot for this display.
