NILES

The Target store at the Eastwood Mall reopened at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after bomb-sniffing dogs were used at the store to determine that there were no explosive devices there.

The store was evacuated after a call to the Niles Police Department at 11:37 a.m. indicating that a message was scribbed on a wall in the bathroom suggesting that a bomb would go off at 12:30 Wednessday.

The evacuation did not affect other stores at the mall, Niles police said.
