Trumbull Memorial Hospital receives national recognition

Trumbull Memorial Hospital received national recognition for its care of pneumonia patients, ValleyCare Health System announced today.

Using data taken from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Becker’s Hospital Review recognized Trumbull Memorial as being among the nation’s top hospitals – and the only hospital in Ohio – with the best outcomes for pneumonia patients.

Becker’s identified 53 hospitals in the U.S. whose pneumonia patients had a 30-day mortality rate at or below 8.4, which is well below the national average of 11.9.

Notable hospitals on this list include Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
