Method 8 to premiere sequel to 'Escobar' film

Method 8 will premiere its latest film Sunday at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of of the South Woods executive building, 100 DeBartolo Place. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

Titled “The Land of Escobar Part II: Witches and Warlocks, the Battle of Antioch,” the film was shot in the Youngstown area with local actors. It was written and directed by Brian K. West of Youngstown, founder and owner of Method 8.

“Antioch” is about a boy in a far-away galaxy that no one else has: he can dream.

“My writing has always been about scripture, and this film targets the power that God has given us all,” said West. “We all have the power to dream. My goal is to take the audience into a world of divine creativity so they can leave the theater feeling they saw something different.”

The cast includes West, Joyce Jones, Victor Arcenio, Cassandra Arcenio, Chloe N. Housteau, LaShawn Conner, Michael Boisselle, Hamony Justice DeFrank, Marylynn “Lynn” Kirkwood, Thomas R. Smith, Austin Dabney, Jason G. Scott, Mia Jeanne Davis, Jessica L. Berg, Demetrius A. Clark, Mark Spayde Jr., Kiara Evans, Ka’Presha S. Whitted, Crystal A. Bell and Christopher D. Haddock.
