After “retiring” from on-camera work in May, the 85-year-old journalist returns with the 20th edition of her perennially high-rated special. The guest list includes Taylor Swift, Chelsea Handler, Neil Patrick Harris, Scarlett Johansson and Oprah Winfrey.

“White House Christmas 2014” (8 P.M., HGTV): Host Genevieve Gorder gives us a peek inside the president’s crib as it’s decorated for the holidays. Something tells us it will be a tad more fancy than our digs.

“Undercover Boss” (8 p.m., CBS): Season 6 of “Undercover Boss” begins with True Value president and CEO John Hartmann embedding himself in his hardware company. He’s stunned to learn that an employee is spewing inappropriate pickup lines while working. We say: Drop the hammer, John!

“The Newsroom” (9 p.m., HBO): Jeff Daniels and company sign off in tonight’s series finale.

‘Miracle on Easy Street’ giveaway

YOUNGSTOWN

The Vindicator and Easy Street Productions are giving away four tickets to “Miracle on Easy Street,” the holiday spectacular musical revue at Powers Auditorium this weekend.

There will be four performances — Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. — and the winner can pick the one he or she wants to attend.

To win, go to the valley24 Facebook page and follow the rules. The contest will end Wednesday. The winner will be notified Wednesday afternoon.
