Fedors celebrate 60th with family dinner and party

Mr. and Mrs. Laddie Fedor of Poland celebrated their 60th anniversary with a family dinner on Thanksgiving and at a party Dec. 12 at Shepherd of the Valley.

Their children are Sharon (Wayne) Korte of North Olmsted, Ohio, and L. David Fedor of Boston.

The former Shirley J. Gill married Mr. Fedor Dec. 18, 1954, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Youngstown, where they have been members for 60 years.

The couple were high school teachers in Struthers. Mr. Fedor retired in 1986 as superintendent of Struthers schools. He is a World War II Army veteran and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He is a life member of various veterans’ organizations and a member of Youngstown State University Alumni, Struthers and Mahoning County Historical societies, Mahoning Retired Teachers and is a retired member of Struthers Rotary.

More celebrations will continue at Christmas.
