Slumping Browns kicker Billy Cundiff is questionable for Sunday’s game against Cincinnati because of an unspecified knee injury.

Cundiff, who has missed one attempt in each of the past five games, did not practice Friday as the Browns wrapped up preparations for the Bengals. Cundiff declined to talk about his injury afterward, deferring all questions to coach Mike Pettine. He had a sleeve on his left knee, but the team said on its injury report that Cundiff’s right knee is injured.

Pettine said Cundiff’s injury occurred Thursday, when he kicked at FirstEnergy Stadium. Browns special teams coach Chris Tabor said he thought Cundiff “kicked the ball as well as I’ve ever seen him.”

The Browns worked out three kickers this week, but Pettine would not divulge any of their names. Punter Spencer Lanning, who kicked in a preseason game last year, said he could fill in if Cundiff can’t play.

Cundiff has made 22 of 29 attempts this season, his second with the Browns. He made 21 of 26 kicks a year ago.
