Youngstown man arrested in child-porn case

YOUNGSTOWN — Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine today announced today that BCI agents who are part of his Crimes Against Children Initiative, and members of the Youngstown Police Department and Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant Thursday at the home of Richard Chacone, 33, regarding the alleged online dissemination of child pornography.

Chacone was arrested after a preliminary review of computer equipment found at his Ridgelawn Avenue home on the West Side during the search. He was charged this morning with one second-degree felony count related to the dissemination of child pornography images.

"This is another example of the collaboration between local and state law enforcement paying off,” said police chief Robin Lees.
