Warren Harding HS back to normal after big fight Wednesday
WARREN
The superintendent of Warren City Schools says there was a “bad” fight at Warren G. Harding High School at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, and school officials took some extra precautions to start the school day today.
But there was no riot, no threat to students or staff, and the school day has proceeded practically “as usual,” he told families in a telephone message at around noon today.
Superintendent Steve Chiaro said he recorded and sent the “one call” message to parents because of lots of misinformation being spread on social media after a video of the fight appeared on a social-media site Wednesday night.
Chiaro said all school buildings are locked all day every day, but four Warren police officers and a security guard did security screenings at the door this morning “to emphasize our committment to student safety and security.”
