Walmart grant helps Liberty firefighters purchase smoke alarms

LIBERTY — Liberty Township Fire Department was recently awarded a grant from the township’s Walmart store that allows the fire department to purchase smoke alarms.

Approximately 350 smoke alarms will be purchased to give to residents in need while supplies last.

Qualified Liberty residents include low-income families, families with children under the age of 15, senior citizens and people with disabilities.
