Calendar contest winners to be honored

YOUNGSTOWN
Twenty-five students in city, charter and private schools, whose artwork has been chosen for inclusion in Green Youngstown’s 2015 Mahoning County Recycling Calendar will be honored in a noon Friday ceremony in the Oakhill Renaissance Place auditorium.
The schools and their calendar contest winners are:
Choffin Career and Technical Center: Takia Shorter.
Discovery 3 at East High School: Joel Bruno, Dominque Byrd, Ninoshka Cuevas, DeRon Gilbert, Morche Sharper, Bethany Smith, Jay’Shaun Underwood and Kalaya Wainwright.
Harding Elementary: Abigail Hartley, Candice Holloway, Carlos Peterson, Destinee Washington and Jalaina West.
Islamic Academy of Youngstown: Marrwa Keermagi and Dana Qutail.
Stambaugh Charter Academy: Aunnasia Calhoun.
William Holmes McGuffey Elementary: Geovontae Johnson, Dakota Lloyd, Keivon Mitchell, Ashly Pena, DaeShawn Pippin and Jonathan Wiggins.
Youngstown Community School: Damnion Hill and Ahmon Moore.
The free calendars, which identify major local recycling drives and litter cleanup events, are available in the mayor’s office and the city and county recycling offices.
