Prayer service tonight for Ursuline cheerleader who collapsed

YOUNGSTOWN — A service is set for 7:30 tonight at St. Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., for Lauren Petro, the Ursuline High School cheerleader who collapsed earlier this week before a basketball game.

The 16-year-old Ursuline junior was initially transported to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital before being transferred to Akron Children’s Hospital, where she is in stable condition.

The school’s cheerleaders have organized the service, which will include reciting the rosary for Lauren.
