BOARDMAN

Township police are looking for the man who robbed a bank Wednesday morning.

Police said a man robbed the Huntington Bank located at 5754 Youngstown-Poland Road a little after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

“He went into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding the money, and upon getting the money, he fled, initially on foot,” said Detective Glenn Patton of the Boardman Police Department.

The man did not show a weapon to the clerk, and no one was hurt, police said.

Police are not releasing the amount of money stolen, but say that it was more than $1,000.

The suspect is a white male, believed to be in his 40s. Surveillance-video images of the suspect show him wearing a wig, stocking cap, sunglasses, a jacket and gloves.

Township police are asking anyone who can help in the investigation to call 330-726-4144.

The FBI also is investigating.
