Free help available Monday to enroll in Health Insurance Marketplace

YOUNGSTOWN — Free help enrolling in the Health Insurance Marketplace is available from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Youngstown Health Department, Oakhill Renaissance Place, 345 Oakhill Ave., Suite 200.

Monday is the last day to enroll in marketplace plans in order to have coverage starting Jan. 1. Call 330-373-0703 for an appointment and information. Certified Navigators from Access Health Mahoning Valley will help review coverage options and complete online enrollments, said Bill Adams, AHMV director.

Most people will qualify for premium tax credits to lower the cost of monthly premiums. Those with current coverage are encouraged to review 2015 plans as they may find a better deal. Also, many people now qualify for Ohio’s expanded Medicaid coverage and are invited to register, Adams said.
