Canfield trustees re-appoint three board members
Staff report
CANFIELD
Three township zoning board or zoning commission members were re-appointed and the trustees and officials discussed year-end work this week.
Trustees approved George Porinchak to return to the township’s zoning board of appeals as well as Ed Wood to return as an alternate for the same board. Ted Dunchak also will return to the township zoning commission. All three men had terms ending Dec. 31.
Trustee Marie Cartwright said the township will begin advertisements for board vacancies.
Trustees approved a transfer of $23,488 from the general fund to the public works fund. That is to close out the Pheasant Run Culvert project, fiscal officer Carmen Heasley explained. That amount is the township’s payment on the project.
Township officials noted the new plow truck they ordered has arrived. Trustees discussed scrapping the old truck or selling it to another government entity. Trustee Brian Governor said, “The sooner the better to get that moving because it’s just taking up space now.”
