Man shot this afternoon on city's South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police say a man was shot in the 1900 block of Summer Street on the South Side about 2:30 p.m. today.

A police spokeswoman said the man suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. She said the injuries were not life threatening.

So far, there are no suspects, the spokeswoman said. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
