Hubbard schools and company participate in mediation

WARREN
Officials with Hubbard Exempted Village School District and a company the school district sued recently participated in mediation Tuesday, but the matter was not resolved.
The parties met separately with Beth Aurilio, a Trumbull County Common Pleas Court magistrate, at the county courthouse. Another mediation session is set for 10 a.m. Dec. 22.
Judge Ronald Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court approved a temporary restraining order against V.B. Confidential LLC of Columbus Nov. 18, ordering the company to keep hard drives containing copies of school district documents.
The school district hired the company to convert paper records and compact discs to a Web-based system for ease of use and security. But the school district said it stopped using V.B. Confidential’s system because it didn’t function correctly, and a dispute with V.B. Confidential ensued.
