Reports: Manziel named Browns starter

BEREA — Multiple reports Tuesday have the Cleveland Browns naming rookie Johnny Manziel their starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

Manziel, the Browns' first-round draft pick in 2014 out of Texas A&M, has played sparingly behind season-long starter Brian Hoyer.

But Hoyer has struggled of late and the Browns have dropped to 7-6 after a 6-3 start. Hoyer has led the Browns to only one touchdown on their last 29 offensive possessions and had thrown eight interceptions and one touchdown pass in his last four games.
