Report: Bo Pelini set to accept YSU job
YOUNGSTOWN — Former Nebraska football coach Bo Pelini is set to accept the Youngstown State job, according to an online report on FootballScoop.com.
Pelini, a Youngstown native and Cardinal Mooney High School graduate, recently was fired by Nebraska after seven seasons. He had a 67-27 record with the Cornhuskers.
YSU fired Eric Wolford — a Brookfield native and Ursuline graduate — in November after five seasons and a 31-26 record. The Penguins did not make the FCS playoffs under Wolford.
Calls and texts to Pelini and YSU athletic director Ron Strollo went unanswered late Tuesday night.
