Vindicator welcomes three department heads

The Vindicator added three department heads to its operations and promoted a salesman.
Ed Kost joined the staff as chief advertising executive. Kost is from the Pittsburgh area and has worked for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Pittsburgh Magazine and Tribune Review Publishing Co. He also has spent time with the Courier Journal in Louisville, Ky., and the San Jose Mercury News in San Jose, Calif. Kost’s overall responsibilities include all digital and print advertising.
Mark Eckert was promoted to digital-sales supervisor. Before the promotion, he worked as a digital-sales man. Eckert also has worked at the CTW Development Corp., and before that he was vice president at his family’s furniture store, Eckert’s Interiors.
Bill Shultz was named circulation sales and marketing director. He joined the paper in 2003 as a district manager and was then promoted to customer-service manager in 2005.
Before moving to Ohio, Shultz attended Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pa., and also worked in various positions for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He lives in Mineral Ridge with his wife and two children.
