Elizabeth Engler | Kirkland Lawrence
YOUNGSTOWN
Elizabeth Houser Engler and Kirkland Lawrence, both of Chicago, exchanged wedding vows in a June 14 ceremony at Stambaugh Auditorium in the concert hall lobby.
Judge Joseph Houser, the bride’s uncle, officiated, and a reception followed at Youngstown Country Club.
She is the daughter of Mary Beth Houser of Canfield and David Engler of Poland. Mr. Lawrence is the son of Victor and Brenda Lawrence of Youngstown.
The couple took a wedding trip to Washington, D.C.
Emma Engler, sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. Molly Booth, the bride’s cousin, also participated. Attendants wore gray dresses.
Best man was Nicholas DeMario.
The bride graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and French, from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in educational specialist in school psychology and a master’s degree in school psychology. She is employed as a school psychologist in Niles Elementary School District in Niles, Ill.
Mr. Lawrence graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He is a football scout for NCSA Athletic Recruiting in Chicago.
