Stambaugh Auditorium was the setting when Carissa Lynn Burke and Joshua Caleb Kozic exchanged vows Aug. 8.
The Rev. Duane Bull officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception followed there.
The parents of the bride are Sharon Viets and Dave Burke, both of Austintown. The parents of the groom are Ruth and John Kozic of Lowellville.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Boardman.
The bride wore a strapless off-white trumpet-style gown with a crystal-embellished sash and a chapel-length train.
Maid of honor for her sister was Morgan Burke, and bridesmaids were Ashley Spriggs, sister of the groom; Alexandra Betras and Tiffany Betras, stepsisters of the bride; Jenna Oles, Jamie Rockwell and Courtney Stock, cousins of the bride; Brittany Dowd and Sabrina Dowd, cousins of the groom; and Kayla Kiraly.
Flower girl was Aubrie Oles, cousin of the bride. The maid of honor wore pale yellow and the bridesmaids wore gray dresses.
The best man was Matt Oliphant, and groomsmen were Billy Spriggs, brother-in-law of the groom; Cody Eshenbaugh and Sam Dowd, cousins of the groom; Hunter Hale, cousin of the bride; David Lewis, Jesse Kurz, Joel Kurz, Jeff Getsy and Jake Schaefer.
Serving as ring bearer was Braden Viets, cousin of the bride.
Mrs. Kozic graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Mr. Kozic graduated from Kent State Trumbull with a degree in criminal justice. He works as a police officer in Ohio.
