Andrea Bovo and Mark Mehalco exchanged wedding vows Sept. 27 in Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dirk van der Duim officiated, and a reception followed at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman.

The bride’s parents are Toni Chittock of Boardman and Lawrence Bova of Struthers. The groom is the son of Donna and William Mehalco of Hubbard.

The bride’s ivory champagne trumpet-style gown featured an off-the-shoulder bodice and Chantilly lace detail. It was fashioned of layered lace with a sweep train.

Serving as maid of honor was Alexis Shutrump, and matron of honor was Ashley Duritza. Bridesmaids were Brittany Bovo, cousin of the bride; Kelly Mehalco, sister of the groom; Christine Powell; Melissa Kensinger; Heidi Janis and Addie Litowitz.

Madison Janis served as the flower girl. Attendants wore plum-colored gowns in four styles.

The groom’s brother, Bill Mehalco, served as his best man. Groomsmen were Matt Berlin and Michael Berlin, cousins of the groom; Justin Bovo, brother of the bride; and John Williams, Jonathan Fakner and Sam Gonder.

Serving as ring bearer was Brady Thompson, a cousin of the groom.

Mrs. Mehalco earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Youngstown State University. She is a corporate operations coordinator/recruiter for Callos Resource LLC in Youngstown.

Mr. Mehalco earned a bachelor’s degree in applied science from YSU. He is a permit coordinator for Miller Transfer in Rootstown.

The couple honeymooned in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and reside in Boardman.
