Elementary girl charged in school bus assault

CONNELLSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — State police say an elementary school student faces assault charges in juvenile court for allegedly attacking two other girls on a school bus, one of whom suffered a concussion and a broken nose.

Troopers from the Belle Vernon barracks aren’t naming the girls, or even identifying their grade.

But they say Wednesday’s incident involved students from Dunbar Elementary, a K-6 school in the Connellsville Area School District.

Police say their investigation is continuing.
