‘Shakespeare Carol’ at campus theater
Staff report
WARREN
Kent-Trumbull Theater will present “A Shakespeare Christmas Carol,” a parody of the Dickens classic written by Dylan Aaron White and directed by Jim Canacci.
The play is set during the Christmas of 1607. William Shakespeare is preparing the King’s Men for an important performance, but his family is wondering if they’ll see him for Christmas this year.
With the help of Christopher Marlow’s ghost and the ghosts of his past, present and future, Shakespeare learns what is truly important during Yuletide.
Characters from Shakespeare’s plays make appearances throughout this farcical adaptation of this Christmas classic.
Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again Dec. 12 and 13; and 3 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 14.
The theater is on the campus at 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW. Tickets are $10 ($8 for seniors and students, $6 for children). For reservations, call 330-675-8887, or email trumbullboxoffice@kent.edu.
