Mahoning County transfers road to Austintown

The Mahoning County commissioners have approved the transfer of East Webb Road from the county road system to the Austintown Township road system.

East Webb Road runs west from Four Mile Run Road to a cul-de-sac near the interchange of Interstates 80 and 680 and state Route 11.

The road was one of two deteriorated roads in Austintown, for which the commissioners awarded a $325,526 reconstruction contract in September to Stateline Paving LLC of North Lima.

East Webb Road should be a township road because the freeway interchange separating it from West Webb Road makes it no longer a through road, explained Patrick Ginnetti, county engineer.
