Festival of Trees will begin at 3 Mercy Health hospitals

Area residents are invited to Mercy Health’s, formerly Humility of Mary Health Partners, annual Festival of Trees from Friday through Dec. 12.
Trees, uniquely decorated by hospital staff, will be raffled at the health-care system’s three acute care hospitals — St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, St. Joseph Warren Hospital and St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
The Festival of Trees will open to the public weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Youngstown and St. Elizabeth Boardman. The festival will open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Joseph’s.
The festival concludes at noon Dec. 12, when tickets are drawn at all three hospitals. The winner need not be present to win. Tree pickup time is from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 12. A photo ID will be required to pick up the tree.
Tickets cost $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds from the St. Elizabeth Youngstown event go to the REACH Fund, which helps employees facing a crisis. St. Joseph’s proceeds benefit the St. Joseph Mission Fund. And proceeds from St. Elizabeth Boardman will go to a mission closet for patients and families who may need clothing or other supplies while at the hospital and the Helping Hands of Boardman Fund.
