Campbell man arrested for truck theft, fleeing

CAMPBELL —John Ference, 28, of Campbell was arrested after a delivery truck was stolen on 12th Street Wednesday afternoon.

Police received several calls from residents that the vehicle was going through the backyards of houses on Porter Avenue and Sanderson Avenue.

Ference was eventually stopped and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage to property, failing to comply with lawful arrest and resisting arrest.

He was transported to the Mahoning County jail without bond pending a court appearance at 9 a.m. on Friday.
