Babbaro to lead Playhouse concert

YOUNGSTOWN

Big-band vocalist Angelo Babbaro will headline a concert at the Youngstown Playhouse at 7 p.m. Dec. 13.

The concert, titled “Raising Our Voices for the Youngstown Playhouse,” is a fundraiser for the theater, which is marking its 90th anniversary season. All proceeds will go to the Playhouse.

The host will be WKBN-AM radio talk-show host Ron Verb.

Accompanying Babbaro, a Sinatra-style singer, will be the Rick Brunetto Big Band of Columbus.

Also performing will be top area singers Cassie Mosure-Oles, Jackie Popovec, Victoria Remley and Mollie B, host of the “Mollie B Polka Party” show on RFD-TV.

Tickets are $30 ($25 for four or more) and can be purchased in advance at the theater box office between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays; by phone at 330-788-8739; and at Colla’s Barbershop, 6247 Market St., Boardman.
