4 jailed, including Youngstown man, after 2 IUP students robbed off campus
INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — Four men have been jailed after police say a couple of Indiana University of Pennsylvania students were robbed of about $1,000, video games, and a half-pound of marijuana in their off-campus apartment.
Indiana Borough police have charged 23-year-olds Dominique Green, of Sharon, and Torrance Hawkins, of Youngstown, Ohio, in the armed robbery shortly before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Two other men, 23-year-old Marcus Harden, of Sharon, and 22-year-old Alvin Hancock, of Farrell, are charged with conspiracy. Police say they were houseguests of the alleged victims before the robbery and had arrived in the robbery suspects’ vehicle.
All four remained in the Indiana County Jail unable to post bond Thursday. They face a preliminary hearing Dec. 15.
