Torch causes roof fire

YOUNGSTOWN

Roofers using a torch at a 234 Belmont Ave. building started a fire Monday that caused $2,000 in damage, fire reports said.

Crews arriving to the building found smoke coming from the roof and crews were deployed inside to keep the fire from spreading, and also on the roof to put the fire out.

No one was injured.
