Ohio treasurer launches online checkbook
COLUMBUS
A new online checkbook launched by the treasurer’s office today is allowing Ohioans to get a better understanding of how the state spends taxpayer dollars.
Republican Treasurer Josh Mandel said OhioCheckbook.com will provide increased public access to information about payments made from the state coffers over the past several years.
Users can search the site by individual or company name or agency for checks issued since fiscal 2008. A “popular searches” feature allows review of spending for travel, food, lottery prizes, sick leave and other areas.
