Black Friday helped all GM sales

The Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze had another solid month of sales in November with 22,857 sold — an increase of 25.6 percent from last November.

The Cruze, which launched in September 2010, is up 11 percent in sales for the year.

Overall, U.S. GM dealers delivered 225,818 vehicles in November to make the company’s best November sales in seven years.

Total sales were up 6 percent compared to a year ago, retail sales were up 5 percent and fleet deliveries were up 11 percent.

GM said demand varied from smaller cars to crossovers and trucks.

“The buzz around Black Friday helped drive strong showroom traffic but there was a lot more at work in the market,” said Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president of Sales Operations.
