Vindy Radio will be live from 8 a.m. to noon and beyond this Wednesday, Dec. 3, with host Louie Free. Along with his regular programming, he'll welcome some special guests.

The rebirth of downtown Youngstown as an entertainment district can be traced back to a legislative action in Nov. 2004 that allowed 15 new liquor licenses downtown at a low price. Atty. Jeff Kurz, a downtown business owner/developer, was part of the Youngstown Arts and Entertainment District Association that urged the legislation's passing. Kurz will join Mayor John McNally to discuss the 10th anniversary of the rebirth of downtown at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
