Survey shows slight decline in Cyber Monday shoppers

The National Retail Federation expects the number of Cyber Monday online shoppers to slightly decrease from last year.
A NRF Cyber Monday Expectations Survey conducted by Prosper Insights and Analytics over the weekend shows 126.9 million shoppers plan to shop online today, which is down from 131.6 million who planned to shop last year on Cyber Monday.
The survey also found that 24.5 million shoppers said they will shop on their mobile device and eight out of 10 will use their home computer.
An expected 40.8 percent of shoppers woke up early to Cyber Monday shop, while 18.4 percent will shop on their lunch and 32.5 percent will shop in the early afternoon.
The survey, conducted Nov.28 through Nov. 29 by Prosper Insights and Analytics for NRF, polled 4,631 consumers and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.5 percent.
