WOOSTER, Ohio

A 49-year-old northern Ohio man has been killed in an early-morning golf cart accident.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Craig Franks of Wooster was driving the cart with two passengers at 1:15 a.m. Saturday. Troopers say they were in a personal golf cart headed westbound down a road when Franks drove it left of center and off the road. Investigators say it rolled over an embankment and overturned, ejecting all three people.

They say passenger Robert Moore was dead at the scene.

Troopers say Franks and a female passenger were taken to a hospital with non-serious injuries.

The Highway Patrol has charged Franks with operating a vehicle under the influence, unsafe speed and failure to control. A phone number wasn’t available immediately for Franks.
