Mr., Mrs. Melia celebrate 65th anniversary

MCDONALD

Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Melia of McDonald celebrated their 65th anniversary at a Mass June 15 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown followed by a dinner at the Outback Steakhouse, hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Gene McCalpin of McDonald.

They will continue the celebration with a trip to Atlantic City in September.

The couple have a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

The former Maryann DiStephano married Mr. Melia on Sept. 5, 1949, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

Mrs. DiStephano is a homemaker, and her husband retired in 1980 from U.S. Steel Corporation in Youngstown.

He has been an usher in the church for the past 40 years.
