Local troopers honored

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced the recipients of its 2014 2nd Quarter Ace and Criminal Patrol Awards at a ceremony Tuesday at the patrol’s training academy in Columbus.

The Criminal Patrol Award honors excellence in felony enforcement and is given yearly to those who open at least 12 felony cases in the first seven months of this year. Winners receive a certificate and uniform ribbon.

Locally, Trooper David M. Brown and Sgt. David Zatvarnicky of the Canfield Post and Trooper Daniel W. Morrison of the Warren Post were honored with Criminal Patrol awards.
