“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV, and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Operation Impact, initiated by the Victory Christian Center in Liberty, has made positive strides in the community. Pastor Lock P. Beachum Jr. and his wife, Gloria, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the innovative movement.

Next, Dr. Will Pinn, vice president of the Trumbull NAACP, will discuss the impact Senate Bill 316 will have on third-grade students in Warren schools and how parents can partner with the NAACP to become more informed and involved.

“Increase the Peace” (6:30 p.m. today and 6:30 a.m. Sunday on MyYTV): Host Andrea Mahone’s guests will be Michelle Edison and Juleen Keefer of the Davis Family YMCA, who will discuss upcoming wellness programs.

Faculty duo to present concert

YOUNGSTOWN

Dana School of Music faculty members Stacie Mickens, horn, and Marissa Knaub, harp, will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5 in Bliss Recital Hall, lower level of Bliss Hall, on Wick Avenue.

The program will consist of pieces by mostly contemporary composers, including Bernard Andres and Marcel Tournier.

Parking is available in the Wick Avenue M1 parking deck for a nominal fee.
