Color run/walk set in Austintown Park

AUSTINTOWN

The Yellow Brick Place Color vs Cancer 5K run/walk will take place beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 21 at Austintown Township Park, 6600 Kirk Road, to benefit the Yellow Brick Place Cancer Wellness Center.

A color run is an untimed event that emphasizes fun over competition. Runners begin in clean white shirts and pass through a color station every kilometer. Each station is associated with a different color, and volunteers blast the runners with dyed cornstarch.

Advance registration, which includes a white shirt, is due by Sept. 6. The cost is $25 each for individual runners; for teams of four or more, the fee is $20 each. Same-day registration is $30, and T-shirt availability is not guaranteed.
