Actor, producer at film commission booth
Randy Wayne, actor and Hollywood producer, will be at the Youngstown Regional Film Commission’s booth at the Canfield Fair today and Sunday.
At the booth, local actors will be able to have their photo taken, and also get information on auditioning for film roles in the region or appearing as extras.
The booth is located to the left of the grandstand, behind the 21 WFMJ-TV booth.

Tickets still available for truck, tractor pull
Tickets still are available for the Championship Truck and Tractor Pull, which begins at 7 p.m. today — the fair’s Family Day — at the grandstand.
Reserved track seats are $14. Reserved grandstand adult tickets are $12, and reserved grandstand youth tickets, for children between age 7 and 12, are $7.
The fair’s box office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online by visiting the fair’s website, www.canfieldfair.com.
Grandstand events
Grandstand attractions for this morning include the Draft Pony Pig Iron Derby from 8 to 11 a.m., followed by harness racing at 11 a.m. A free seminar on reading a race program and wagering will be offered on the Concourse Stage at 10:30 a.m.
Attendance is up
Thursday’s fair attendance was 38,610 — an increase of almost 7 percent over last year’s Thursday attendance of 36,243. The combined attendance for Wednesday and Thursday — 60,052 — also is 11 percent higher than the combined two-day attendance for 2013.
FitzGerald stops by
Democrat gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald continued his hometown tour Friday at the fair. He stopped at the Mahoning County Democratic Party booth.
He came in at 4 p.m. and met with some constituents and other party politicians. FitzGerald also stopped at the Stark County and Geauga County fairs.
