Covelli opens Boardman Panera Bread


Covelli Enterprises has announced the opening of its ninth Panera Bread on Aug. 26 in Southwoods Commons on Market Street in Boardman. The new Panera Bread will be the second Covelli-owned bakery-caf to feature a drive-through for the convenience of their customers.

Covelli Enterprises is the nation’s largest franchisee of Panera, LLC, with more than 250 locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Florida and Canada. They employ more than 20,000 people, including more then 2,000 people in the Mahoning Valley.

“Anytime we have the opportunity to open a store in this Valley, it is extremely special for our company.” said Sam Covelli, Owner/Operator of Covelli Enterprises. “We are truly humbled by the amount of support our company has received for over 55 years from our loyal customers.”

The Panera Bread in Boardman will be celebrating its opening with various special offers. Starting at 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, the first 1000 customers that make a purchase will receive a free travel mug with two weeks of free coffee. The first 500 drive-through customers will receive a free ceramic car coaster. On Tuesday and Wednesday, customers will receive a $5 gift card with the purchase of a You-Pick-Two Æ to use on future visits. On Thursday, all breakfast sandwiches and egg souffl s are half price. These offers will be honored only at the new bakery-caf location in Boardman.

In keeping with the company’s tradition of giving back to the communities it serves, Panera Bread is partnering with the United Way of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley. Customers that receive a $5 gift card at the Grand Opening will have the opportunity to redeem the gift card at the new location within the first two weeks of the store opening. For every gift card redeemed at the new location, Covelli will donate $1 back to the United Way.
