Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will have its annual welcome back picnic at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Georgeanna Parker Activity Room at Boardman Park and a general meeting at 7. In recognition of the league’s 35th anniversary, there is a goal of collecting 35 of the listed school supplies. Each member is to take two of the following items: scissors for middle school students, packages of No. 2 pencils, pens, glue, crayons (24 count) and one-subject notebooks. Members also are asked to take a covered dish.
