ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 6 in Room 2400 of Moser Hall, Youngstown State University. Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet Sept. 10 at A La Carte Catering in Canfield, A social period will begin at 5:30, p.m., and dinner will be at 6 at a cost of $19. The menu consists of eggplant parmigiana, Swiss chicken, scalloped potatoes, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, cottage cheese, coleslaw, rolls, coffee or tea and cherries in the snow. Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will meet at 6 p.m. Sept. 9. at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The evening will begin with dinner followed by a talk on insurance by Tim Cearfoss. A business meeting will conclude the evening. Cost of the dinner is $17. Warren Women’s Connection will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. The cost is $13 each, and child care is free. LEAGUES

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will have its annual welcome back picnic at 6 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Georgeanna Parker Activity Room at Boardman Park and a general meeting at 7. In recognition of the league’s 35th anniversary, there is a goal of collecting 35 of the listed school supplies. Each member is to take two of the following items: scissors for middle school students, packages of No. 2 pencils, pens, glue, crayons (24 count) and one-subject notebooks. Members also are asked to take a covered dish. Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at its hall, 122 N. State St.

Women’s Aglow will welcome speaker Nisha Verdinek at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St., Alliance. The cost is $3. Verdinek was born in the U.S. to parents who came from Pakistan.

Alzheimer Network Family Support Group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion’s Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 Main St., Greenville, Pa.; at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Children’s Rehabilitation Center, Howland-Wilson Road, Howland, and at noon Sept. 6 at Sunrise Assisted Living of Poland, 335 West McKinley Way. Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Support Group will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northside Medical Center, Medical Office Building A, 500 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown.
