Salem Library announces programs for September

September programs of the Salem Public Library follow:

The project for the Sept. 8 Getting Crafty class will be book page pumpkins. Attendees will gather in the gymnasium of the Salem Memorial Building from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. to create pumpkins from recycled books.

All materials will be provided for the class, which is open to the public and free of cost. Online registration is needed through the library’s website at www.salem.lib.oh.us.

The Wellness Wednesday program continues from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Salem Memorial Building. Kristina Owen, a wellness advocate, will share her knowledge of the benefits of using certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils to enhance physical, mental and emotional health.

Online registration is needed through the library’s website. There is no cost to attend this program, which is open to the public.

Wellness Wednesday programming takes place on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and addresses a variety of wellness topics. For information or assistance with registration call the library.

Stitches in Time get-together will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in Room 23 of the Salem Memorial Building, 785 E. State St.

The group of hand-crafters meets the third Wednesday of each month to work on stitchery projects. Anyone who knits, crochets, tats, cross stitches or does any other string craft is invited to take a project to work on.
