Bound bodies of 2 found in Pa. river; third hurt

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say the bound bodies of two people have been recovered from a Philadelphia river and a third man who said he managed to free himself is being treated at a hospital for stab wounds.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says officers were called to the Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park just before 4 a.m. today where the two bodies were found floating in the river.

He said a 20-year-old man found with stab wounds said he had been abducted in a different part of the city and thrown into a van where the other two victims were already present.

The man told investigators he was robbed, stabbed and bound before all were thrown in the river, where he managed to free himself and climb out of the water.
