Symon, Florence at food show

The 9th annual Fabulous Food Show — the country’s largest presentation of fine food, fine art, craft breweries, wineries, restaurants and exhibits — returns to the I-X Center Nov. 14-16.

It will feature more than 100 demonstrations by celebrity chefs and culinary professionals on cooking, entertaining and saving money. Scheduled to appear are celebrity chef Michael Symon, Food Network’s Tyler Florence, ABC’s “The Chew” co-host Carla Hall, and Cooking Channel star Ingrid Hoffmann. Comedy show at Jewish Center

Congregation Rodef Sholom Brotherhood will present New York’s Ivy League of Comedy, a show featuring comedians Carmen Lynch, Shaun Eli and Wali Collins, at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Youngstown Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane. The event will also include a wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres, a dinner catered by Station Square and a raffle with a top prize of $3,000.

Tickets, which include a raffle ticket, dinner and the show, are $125 per couple ($62.50 per person). The dinner and comedy show only is $40; a raffle ticket only is $75. Call 330-744-5001.

New Prince album

NEW YORK

Prince announced Monday that he would release a new album, “Art Official Age,” Sept. 30 on Warner Bros. Records, the label Prince was signed to from 1978 to the mid-1990s, but later battled for the rights to his music.

He reached a deal with Warner in April, earning the rights to the music he recorded on the label.

Prince will also release the album “PlectrumElectrum” with his all-female band 3RDEYEGIRL on Sept. 30. Both are available for pre-order. “Art Official Age,” a mix of soul, R&B and funk, is his first album since 2010’s “20Ten.”
