AUSTINTOWN

Barry Dyngles Pub was the site of a breaking and entering early Monday.

A manager of the restaurant, 1601 S. Raccoon Road, entered the business 6:13 a.m. Monday to find a door damaged, but closed. According to the report, once inside, he heard noises from people who the exited the business through the front door. A “heavy set” male fled on foot between Barry Dyngles and Smoker Friendly, a next-door business, and a woman fled in a gray Pontiac Grand Am with temporary tags.

Due to their quick exit, the two left several tools behind that they had used to gain entry, pry open a storage room and attempt to pry bolts away from a safe. The tools and other items left behind were processed by Austintown detectives for DNA and other evidence.

There was video surveillance showing the two people leaving the business, the report said.
