AUCTIONS

Saxon Ladies Society Branch 22 is sponsoring its 24th annual basket auction Sept. 7 in the ballroom at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown. Doors will open at noon, and the auction will begin at 2 p.m. with auctioneer Casey Malone, host of the Casey Malone Show on WFMJ TV. Tickets will be $5 at the door and will include a door prize entry, hot dog, chips, coffee, pop or water and 25 auction bidding tickets. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund for Youngstown State University students.

CRAFT SHOWS

VFW Ladies Auxiliary 9571 of Ellsworth is looking for crafters for its third annual craft show scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct.11 at the VFW Post Home on Ellsworth Road in Ellsworth. FLEA MARKETS

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, is having an indoor and outdoor flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 5 and 6. Vendors are welcome. Haluski, pasta fagioli and kielbasa will be available. For information call 330-792-0629.

RAFFLES

Austintown Alumni Association is selling tickets for its annual raffle to raise funds for scholarships to Austintown Fitch 2015 graduates. First prize is $500, second prize is a basket of gift cards from local businesses worth at least $200, and third prize is a $50 dinner for two at Rachel’s Restaurant and flowers from Something Unique Florist. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for a book of six. The winning tickets will be drawn Friday at the Hall of Fame football game. Winners need not be present.
